Silhouette Stages announces auditions for its October 2026 production of ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA: THE MUSICAL ​ Book by Dennis Kelly Music and Lyrics by Tim Minchin Based on the book, Matilda by Roald Dahl ​ The Tony Award-winning musical Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, is a bold, imaginative story that celebrates the power of courage, intelligence, and taking control of your own story. Based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, this production celebrates a multi-generational cast, blending humor and heart with show-stopping moments for performers of all ages. Matilda Wormwood is an extraordinary young girl with a brilliant mind and a vivid imagination, growing up in a home that neither understands nor appreciates her. At school, she faces the tyrannical headmistress Miss Trunchbull, whose cruel rules stifle creativity and joy. With the support of her kind teacher, Miss Honey, Matilda discovers her own inner strength and begins to challenge the injustices around her.
