A free brunch and conversation about prostate cancer survivorship, featuring survivor testimonials, a panel with a urologist, and targeted breakouts for men and partners.
The purpose of the - Beyond the Diagnosis: The Survivor's Journey & the People Who Walk It With Us - event is to have an open and candid conversation with men, their partners, and family members, living in Washington, DC communities, about not facing prostate cancer alone. The conversation is more than learning how and what it means to prepare a resilience mindset for your prostate health through early detection and before a cancer diagnosis. It's about surviving, the support you'll need, and taking this journey together. This will be an interactive event for men and their partners to understand advocating for themselves through shared prostate cancer survivor's and partner's testimonials, educational information, medical treatment options, understanding the importance of health, and importance of knowing your journey is better when shared.
Most of all we want men, their partners, and families to know there is a quality of life after prostate cancer, when caught, diagnosed, and treated early.
After brunch there will be a:
Keynote Speaker
Panel Discussion comprised of survivors, a survivor's partner, and local urologist
15 minute separate break sessions for men and their partners for a targeted discussion
Regroup for closing discussion and remarks
You must register to attend this FREE brunch and interactive 90 min event. Registration is required to understand the demographics of the attendees. Additionally, there will be a medical doctor to address medical questions and share general and local prostate cancer treatment options.
Thank you for your support as we want to help men get a grip on their prostate health before a cancer diagnosis.
