On Saturday, October 3rd, two of Howard County’s premier farms (Manor Hill and Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue) are partnering for a family friendly day of food, fun, and philanthropy. Farm and Taproom open 12-7pm, featuring:
Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue on site with friendly horses for petting & pictures beginning at noon until about 4pm (or until the horses get tired). Meet their ambassador Belgian horses up close and in person (as the date nears, we will announce which horses will be attending). Learn about and contribute to Gentle Giant's mission of saving draft horses from slaughter, abuse, and neglect.
This event doubles as a fundraiser as a portion of the proceeds from the day will be donated directly to Gentle Giants
Draft List for the day to be announced soon.
-Â Mady's Squeeze Lemonade will be serving unique flavors of dirty sodas and lemonades... all made to order!
Our Farm & Taproom will be open with 14 taps featuring farm-brewed beers, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic hop water, plus multiple options in cans available to go. All seating on the Farm is first come, first served. We have indoor seating, a large covered tent, and plenty of outdoor space to spread out. There are several picnic tables in our field, but we also encourage you to bring your own chairs or even a portable (10×10) pop-up tent for shade and find your new favorite spot with friends.
Our Farm Stand (conveniently located behind the bar) is constantly evolving and is sure to have some locally produced items for sale, including staples like Manor Hill Farm Pickles, Relish, Jellies and more.
