Celebrate the spirit of the Preakness in Howard County with a f un hat pin workshop at the Columbia Art Center. Drop in anytime between 11 am and 2pm to design your own decorative hat pins - perfect for hats, caps, scarves or even planter inserts.

Instructor Tara Bell will guide you step-by-step through the process, which takes 35-50 minutes per project. Create a Maryland- or Howard County-themed design, or something uniquely your own. Open to ages 15 and older.

Preregistration required by April 30 . $15 each participant (for two projects; third project is an additional $5).
