Description

Native bees come in many shapes, sizes and colors—there are more than 400 species in Maryland alone. In the first half of this HoCo Bee City identification workshop, Irvine Nature Center environmental educator Clare Walker will discuss the needs, behaviors and favorite hangouts of these early-emerging bees. Participants will examine specimens and practice field identification and temporary safe capture of bees for close observation. Registration required.
