Join us for a spring painting workshop! Ostara is a Germanic goddess of spring and dawn who, in a popular legend, saves a bird dying in the snow by transforming it into a hare (the "Easter Hare"). After transforming, the hare retains the ability to lay colorful eggs, symbolizing the arrival of spring. In this class we will create a vibrant abstract background and use acrylic paint to overlay the silhouette form of the hare. Then add wings... or not! You can decide what stage of the transformation you will be depicting. All materials provided.
