An eight-part financial literacy series for 6th-9th graders covering earning, saving, spending, and entrepreneurship, with a culminating snack bar project. Registration required.
Sign your 6th-9th grader up for a Free, engaging program for youth that helps participants build real-world money skills in a fun, supportive, and judgment-free environment. Presented by The Youth and Teen Center in partnership with the Howard County Extension 4-H Program, this monthly eight-part series teaches teens how to earn, save, and spend money wisely, explore entrepreneurship and small business concepts, and develop healthy financial habits that can benefit them now and in the future. Participants will gain confidence making smart financial decisions while having open conversations about money and its role in everyday life. As a culminating project, teens will put their new knowledge into practice by operating a real snack bar at The Youth and Teen Center @ The BARN. The series begins October 14 and meets from 4-5:30pm. Must attend all 8 sessions, 1 per month, October-May. Registration is required, and must be completed by October 12.
