Columbia Association (CA) and Howard County Re creation and Parks are teaming up to offer hands-on volunteer training for both the CA Weed Warrior and Howard County Tree Savers programs. You'll l earn about sustainable landscaping including identifying invasive plants, how they affect the environment, how to remove them and how to help restore habitats with native plants. Once certified, you'll be able to lead groups in clearing out invasive weeds in CA Open Space areas. THE TRAINING HAS TWO PARTS: first, a classroom session on plant identification and safety, then a field session where we go outside and pull weeds together. You'll need both to get certfied.

Class will be held at Howard Community Co llege TCH Building, Rm 107. 4950 Campus Drive. Park in Lot B
